Night Always Comes

Linnet works three jobs. She lives in a run-down house in Portland with her older brother Kenny, who has developmental disabilities, and their unpredictable mother Dorin. Linnet is trying to buy the house to provide stable housing for the family and prevent Kenny from being taken into custody. Their landlord, David, offers a good deal on purchasing the house. However, Linnet needs her mother to make the down payment. Dorin does not show up to meet with Linnet and David to finalize the deal and only appears a couple of hours later with a new car. Unable to convince her mother to return the car to the dealership, Linnet tries to find $25,000 by 9 am the next day - that's the deadline David agreed to wait until for the last time.
